We take the bus for Potosi (admire the fur on the gear handle), non asphalted roade and beautiful landscapes. Potosi is located at 4100m above sea, at the foot of Cerro Rico, the rich montain. This montain is full of mined holes exploited sin ce the 16th century, tonns of silver have been extracted and 8 millions of Indians and African slaves died there.In the afternoon, we visit the Royal Mint where silver coins were stamped for all the Spaniush territories.

Vers Potosi - To Potosi
Nous prenons le bus pour Potosi (avec moumoute sur le levier de vitesse pour qu'il n'ait pas froid), route non goudronnee et paysages magnifiques. Potosi est situee a 4100m d'altitude, au pied du Cerro Rico, la montagne riche. La montagne est percee de mines exploitees depuis le 16e siecle, des tonnes d'argent en ont ete extraites et 8 millions d'Indiens et d'escalves africains y sont morts. Dans l'apres-midi nous visitons la Maison de la monnaie ou les pieces d'argent etaient frappees pour tout le territoire espagnol.
